Pear jam

For 4 glasses of 300 ml / Preparation 20 minutes / Cooking 2–3 hours

2 kg pears, cored, half peeled, cut into pieces
200 g caster sugar
juice of 4 lemons
3 cloves

1. I put the pears in a pot, add the sugar, lemon juice and cloves, mix well and bring to a boil. When the mixture starts to boil, I reduce the heat to about half.
and cover the pot with a lid. But I leave a small gap so that the water from the pears can evaporate. I let them cook for about 2-3 hours, until they fall apart.

2. Finally, I mash the boiled pears with a potato masher to make the jam beautifully smooth. I like them best with muffins, grated cottage cheese
and sugar.
