Indian bread

Slané Snídaně Svačiny

Indiánský chleba

8 servings / Preparation 30 minutes / Resting 30–45 minutes / Frying 35 minutes

½ teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons baking powder
190 ml milk
vegetable oil for frying

1. If I don't already have the mixture prepared at home, I mix the flour, salt in a bowl
and baking powder. I add milk and knead the dough with my hands. If the dough is too stiff, I add a little more water – about 100-125 ml and knead again briefly – but really only briefly, just to bring everything together. I let the dough rest for 30-45 minutes.
2. When the dough has rested enough, I heat the oil in a frying pan. I tear off a piece of dough the size of a tennis ball, if it is too sticky, I add a little flour,
and I shape it into a pancake. I put it in a pan and fry it until golden brown on one side, then I flip the pancake and fry it on the other side.
